Ralph J. Ochoa, Jr., 69, formerly of El Monte, California, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2025, in his home in Rockhill Furnace, surrounded by his loving family.  He was the husband of Paula M. (Booher) Ochoa.

Born October 23, 1955, in Whittier, California, he was a son of the late Ralph J. Ochoa Sr. and Maria (Carrillo) Ochoa.  He was raised in El Monte, where he attended high school.  He worked in construction and manufacturing, including employment with Henkels & McCoy and JLG Industries.

As a man who was a wonderful conversationalist and lover of music, he had the perfect qualities for his work as a disc jockey in El Monte.This work allowed him to share with his listeners the empowerment of community service and reflect on his kind and generous qualities to many. His family and many friends will miss his good sense of humor, kind and generous spirit and the time and skill in helping others, which was so much a part of who Ralph was.  Besides serving others, he personally enjoyed the beach, tinkering in his garage on one project or another, working in his yard and caring for his flowers and vegetable garden.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Paula, are 2 daughters, Maria M. Ochoa, Director of Resident Life at Point Park University, Pittsburgh, and Monica D. Ochoa, also of Pittsburgh, studied at Point Park.  Additional survivors include his sister, Julie McDonald of El Monte and several generations of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Delores Chavez and Pauline Hernandez and 2 nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends at a later date.  The family would prefer donations in memory of Ralph be made to the Humane Society.
