Rayna Lynn Johnston Dixson, 55, of Dry Run, formerly of Willow Hill, passed unexpectedly in her home April 9, 2026.  She was the beloved wife of Edison "Eddie" Dixson.

Rayna was born November 25, 1970, in Chambersburg, a daughter of Larry and Judy (Umbrell) Zeigler of Willow Hill.    She graduated from Fannett Metal High School in 1989.

After graduation she was employed for several years at JLG in McConnellsburg until about 2005.  She then enrolled at the Franklin County Career and Technology Center Practical Nursing Program, which previously operated on the campus of Wilson College.  Graduating with her LPN she worked at the Claremont and Sarah A. Todd nursing facilities in Carlisle and finished her career about 2021 at the Shook Home in Chambersburg.

Her family remembers Rayna's good housekeeping skills and her collection of old crocks and appreciation for Indian Lore. Her love for animals was evident throughout her life.  At an early age after school, she would make her way to the Ferret Farm on Mountain Green Road to help with the care and work there, a labor of love she enjoyed until graduating.  She also enjoyed horse riding, including competitions, when younger.  Her current pets included her cats, Lockey and Lilly and dog, Buddy.  Her favorite, gone but not forgotten dogs, were Pug, Petunia and Boston Terrier, Odie.

Surviving with her husband, Eddie, and parents, Judy and Larry, is a son Brandon Johnston and daughter, Autumn Dixson of Dry Run, her brother, Ryan Zeigler (Tonya) and nephew Jordon Zeigler of Willow Hill and cousins.  She was preceded in death by an infant son, Dalton Johnston, in 1994.

Friends may call Sunday, April 12, 2026, after 2 PM and are invited to attend her memorial service at 3 PM in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, PA with Pastor Butch Neil, officiating.   Interment will follow in Path Valley Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers, donations in Rayna's memory may be made to either Fannett-Metal Fire and Ambulance Co., PO Box 51, Dry Run, PA  17220 or to Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road W., Chambersburg, PA  17201.    www.agettlakjer.com
