Robert D. Geyer, 66, of Chambersburg, passed away unexpectedly June 23, 2021 at his home. He was the beloved life partner of Dena K. Hockenberry.

Born May 1, 1955 in his home in Fannettsburg, he was a son of Betty (Ile) Geyer of Chambersburg and the late James W. Geyer.

A graduate of Fannett-Metal High School class of 1973, Bob was employed at Grove Manufacturing in Shady Grove and later self employed – Geyer Roofing. He also worked at Rosenberry Brothers Lumber and Electrical Specialties in Mercersburg.

He was a member of the Wesley Yeager Post 606 American Legion, Fort Loudon, Moose Lodge 842, Chambersburg and the Pennsylvania Sheriffs Association.

Bob was a gun, motorcycle and car enthusiast; he particularly favored Harley-Davidsons and Mustangs. He enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, outdoor games, helping others and spending time with his buddies, Mike, Russell, Larry, Denny and Greg. Most important to him was the welfare of his mother, Betty, who he and Dena cared for in their home.

Surviving in addition to Dena and his mother, Betty, are 2 sons: James R. Geyer, Chambersburg and Toby Hockenberry, Lewisberry; 2 grandsons;
Tyler and Hunter and his stepsister, Patricia Zets and her husband, Richard of Forestville, NY. He was preceded in death his close friend, Greg Rosenberry.

Viewing Monday, June 28 between 2 and 4 PM followed by the service at 4 PM in Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run with Pastor Marlin "Butch" Neil officiating. Interment will follow in Path Valley Cemetery.
