Robert "Bob" Larry Price, 82, a long time Fannettsburg resident, passed away December 6, 2024, in Shippensburg Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.   He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Laurel Kay (Parson) Price.

Born May 14, 1942, in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Albert Franklin and Hulda Emma (Naugle) Price. As a youth he lived in Shade Gap prior to moving to Metal Township.  He graduated from Fannett-Metal High School in 1960.

Bob worked for Howard Johnson's Restaurant on the turnpike until taking employment with PennDOT until August 8, 1969.  He then went to work as a tunnel guard for the Pennsylvania Turnpike, retiring on Aug. 23, 2001.  In addition to his full-time employment, he worked on the family farm and for Del Mar Industries and being a butcher for Paul Keefer.

He was instrumental in the supervision of numerous slow pitch softball tournaments in the area, was an avid hunter and member and former treasurer of the Mountain Green Hunting Club.  Additionally, he was active and served as treasurer for the former Fannettsburg Ruritan Club/Community Center and was a lifetime member of the Metal Twp. Fire and Ambulance Co.

Surviving are 3 sons, Larry Todd Price of St. Thomas and Keith Lynn Price (Teresa) and Rodney Lee Price, all of Fannettsburg, and 2 grandchildren, Shannon Watts and Madison Price and 2 great grandsons, Kolby Watts and Emmitt Watts.  Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Price and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Price, 2 infant brothers, Marshall and William and sisters, Beulah Stine, Helen Keenan, Violet Cowan and Mary Burkholder.

Viewing Monday, December 9, beginning at 10 AM followed by the funeral service at 11 AM in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home,16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, PA, with Pastor Marlin "Butch" Neil officiating.  Interment Path Valley Cemetery.  The family prefers the omission of flowers and donations in his memory to the Metal Twp.
