Robert Earl Yeager, 80, of Fannettsburg, went to be with the Lord in Mercy House, Chambersburg, on April 16, 2024.  He was the beloved husband of Donna M. (Wagaman) Yeager; they would have celebrated their 60th anniversary on July 4th.

Born November 24, 1943, in Maugansville, MD, he was a son of the late Earl D. and Anna (Horst) Yeager.  He graduated from Chambersburg High School in 1962.

A farmer at heart, he was raised on a farm and carried his love of farming during his life from dairy to beef. He enjoyed restoring old tractors.  In conjunction with farming, he worked at Grove Manufacturing, drove for FedEX and most recently for Martin's Potato Rolls, retiring in 2015, but continuing to drive in his retirement.  He and Donna were former youth leaders at Pleasant View Mennonite Church. He currently was a member of Shady Pine Community Church.   He was also a faithful supporter of Samaritans Purse and active worker with the shoebox project in Operation Christmas Child.

Robert Yeager loved his Lord and his family.  His grandchildren and great grandchildren were the delight of his heart and he always had a smile on his face and a lap to sit upon.

Surviving with his wife, Donna, are 2 sons: Michael (Michelle) and Keith (Barbara), all of Fannettsburg, 4 grandchildren, Jaime Baker, James Shawley, Justin and Brandon Yeager and 5 great grandchildren, Cali, Kaiden, Aly, Zach and McKenzie.  Also surviving is his twin brother, Richard (Mary Ellen) of Carlisle and 4 sisters, Vonda Kelso, of Chambersburg, Barbara Cooper (Guy) of Idaho, Judy Martin (Richard) of Alabama and Sharon Ezelle,of Chambersburg.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Enos Yeager.

His funeral service will be held Monday, April 22 at 11 AM in Shady Pine Community Church, 14620 Shady Pine Road, Willow Hill, PA. with Pastors Joe Martin and Marlin "Butch" Neil officiating.   Viewing Sunday between 5 and 7 PM in Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run or Monday at the church 10-11 AM.  Interment Reformed Church Cemetery, Fannettsburg.  The family prefers the omission of flowers and suggest donations in Robert's name to either Mercy House, 730 Norland Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201 or Operation Christmas Child, c/o Samaritans Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC   28607      www.agettlakjer.com
