Roger D. Hockenberry, 74, of Amberson, formerly of East Waterford, passed away February 19, 2022, in his home.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen C. (McMullen) Hockenberry on December 30, 2021.

Born November 1, 1947, in Toboyne Township, where he lived most of his life, he was a son of the late Clyde and Madalene  (Woodward) Hockenberry.  He attended Blain High School.

Mr. Hockenberry previously worked as a heavy mechanic at Letterkenny Army Depot and later in construction and home remodeling until retiring.

He received much enjoyment from hunting and fishing.

Surviving are 2 children, a son, Roger D. Hockenberry, Jr. and his wife, Missy, of Shippensburg and a daughter, Melissa Huffstutler and her husband, James, of Oak Grove, MO, 4 grandchildren, Andrew Hockenberry, Kayla Forney, Christopher & Zack Huffstutler and 4 great grandchildren.  Also surviving are 2 brothers, Ronald Hockenberry of Stowe and James and his wife, Linda, of Colorado and a sister, Karen Middaugh and her husband, Bruce, of Concord.  A sister, Lavada Yocum, preceded him in death.
