Roger E. Wasson, 74, of McConnellsburg, and former long-time resident of Martinsbug, WV, passed away September 22, 2025,  in Laurel Lakes Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, Chambersburg, PA.

He was born February 24, 1951, in Martinsburg, a son of the late Paul E. and Mary M. (Collis) Wasson. Roger served in the Army and retired after a career of 17 years with the Martinsburg Journal.  He enjoyed wrestling and NAS CAR.

For the last 10 years Roger resided with his daughter, Lisa L. Redcay (Jimmy Woods) of McConnellsburg, PA.  Also surviving is a daughter, Megan Messick (Richard) of Martinsburg, WV. granddaughters, McKenzie and Autumn Messick. Also surviving is a sister, Mary Bryant and 3 brothers, Taylor, Howard and John Rudy, all of Martinsburg.
