Sandra Ilene (Foy) Stahlman, “Sandy,” age 75, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, August 7, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on July 19, 1951, in Oil City, PA, she was the beloved daughter of the late Francis K. and E. Theda (Schettler) Foy. Sandy grew up in Oil City and graduated from Oil City High School. On Valentine’s Day in 1970, she married her high school sweetheart, Robert "Bob" Stahlman. Together, they built a life defined by devotion, shared strength, and a deep commitment to family over their 53 years of marriage.

Sandy spent the majority of her life in Oil City. She worked for many years at the First United National Bank where she met many customers with a smile. In her mid-life she discovered her true professional passion when along with her husband, Bob, they owned and operated BS Brewbusters from 1991 to 2010. An exceptional cook, Sandy delighted in creating new recipes and feeding everyone who walked through the door. Many of their patrons grew to become lifelong friends, drawn to her hospitality and warmth.

Her home with Bob was always an open door. Together, they offered generosity, shelter, and care to countless family members and friends over the years. Sandy endured profound loves, losses, and sacrifices during her life, carrying the heartbreaking loss of her two sons with a quiet grace, even as that grief reshaped her world. Through every season, her fierce love for her family remained the anchor of her life.

In her later years, Sandy treasured life’s simple joys: competitive evening Yahtzee games with Bob, long phone calls with her friends, back-porch gatherings filled with homemade meals, and taking care of those around her. Nothing more brought a brighter smile to her face than updates and visits from her grandchildren.

Following Bob’s retirement in 2018, the couple moved to Homosassa, FL, spending time in the sunshine with family and friends before relocating to Chambersburg in 2021 to be cared for by their daughter Sara and her family.

In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob; her two sons, Robert "Bobby" Stahlman Jr. and Marc Stahlman; and her three siblings, Kenneth "Ken" Foy, Mary Hoover Mitchell, and James "Jim" Foy.

She is survived by her daughter, Sara Woolf, and her husband, Jim, of Chambersburg, PA; her daughter-in-law, Kelli Stahlman, of Rochester, NY; her ten cherished grandchildren: Landon, Lizzi, TJ (Mikaela), and Nathan Stahlman, Madelyn (Kyle) Culbertson, Olivia (Dominick) Belardo, and Hanna, Nadia, Gabriel, and Marc Woolf; her four great-grandchildren: Weston, Cash, and Kaden Culbertson, and DJ Belardo; as well as numerous sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Oil City, PA on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 10 AM. A reception will follow at Cork and Screw in Oil City.
