Sara Ruth Burdge, 76, of Blairs Mills, passed away in her home on December 6, 2025.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William Burdge.

Sara was born August 13, 1949, in Blairs Mills, a daughter of the late Warren Regis and Betty (Scott) Fegan. She resided in Blairs Mills all her life other than 13 years in Mt. Union.  Sara attended Southern Huntingdon County High School.  In her younger years she worked as an assembler at the former FCI Electronics in Mt. Union and later, at the Dollar General in Chambersburg.

Her family remembers Sara as a homemaker and caregiver to her late son, John Walker, who passed in 1998 and husband, William Burdge, who passed in 2015.  In addition to her homemaking and caregiving skills she loved to decorate, enjoyed the snow and shopping.

Surviving are 2 sons, Dean P. Walker, (Jessica) and Joseph M. Walker, all of Mt. Union, and 4 stepchildren, Steve, Deborah, John and James, 4 grandchildren, Patrick, Zoi, Caleb and Makenzy, 2 great granddaughters, Charlee and Cecelia and several step grand and great grandchildren. Additional survivors include her brother, John Fegan, (Marcella) of Shade Gap and 4 sisters, Vivian Atherton, Blairs Mills, Carol Walker, (Daniel), McVeytown, Janice Price, Blairs Mills and Patricia Eaton, (Herb), Doylesburg and last of all her beloved dog, Bindi.

Her viewing will be held Wednesday, Dec. 10 beginning at 10 AM followed by the funeral service at 11 AM in Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run with Pastor Judy Rowles, officiating.  Interment in the old United Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Concord.
