Shirley J. Hershberger, 80, of Dry Run, formerly of Big Rock, IL went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2021, in Chambersburg Hospital.  She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Elmer L. Hershberger.

Born February 7, 1941, in Aurora, IL, she was a daughter of the late Carl C. and Elizabeth J. (Thompson) Donnan.

Mrs. Hershberger had a career of 33 years with Keen Transport, retiring as Terminal Manager from their Aurora, IL Terminal.

Shirley had been an active member of the Big Rock Baptist Church and served as an EMT for the Big Rock Fire Department.  She loved working in her garden and canning.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Elmer, are 5 children, Carri Loefler of Westminster, CO, Barb Long (Rocky) of Fannettsburg, Larry Bellante (Guyla) of Brighton, CO, Daryl Hershberger of Menomonie, WI and Doyle Hershberger (Angie) of Goshen, IN;  10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Dolores Crest and a brother, Carl E. Donnan.

Her viewing will be at Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, on Wed., Jan. 5, 2022 at 9:30 AM followed by the funeral service at 10 AM with Pastor Phillip Zook, officiating.  Interment in Fannettsburg Reformed Church Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.  www.agettlakjer.com
