Stephen "Michael" Dangler unexpectedly passed away on May 15, 2026, at his home in Shippensburg, PA.  Born September 15, 1955, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Steven Dangler and Rose Driscoll, surviving of Hagerstown and his beloved stepfather, the late Wallace Beck.  He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Mary Dailey of Huntington, West Virginia.

Michael was the father of 6 remarkable children, Suzanne Dangler, Christopher Dangler, Joseph (Rebecca) Dangler, Kathryn (Zack) Hitchens, Murphy (Kate) Dailey and Benjamin Dangler, and 10 grandchildren, Savannah Dangler, Sheyenne Dangler, Saylor Dangler, Scarlet Dangler, Samara Dangler, Blake Hitchens, Parker Hitchens, Logan Hitchens, Maura Hitchens and McKenna Dailey.

He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War, from 1972 to 1974.

Michael was a hardworking father who loved his family deeply.  He lived for his puzzles and creating electronics, as well as his varied music.  He worked for GE for 17 years and made the transition to what is today Verizon, before his retirement in 2016.  Everyone who knew him loved his sense of humor and penchant for gothic tastes.  He was a delightful child at heart and spread that to his children and grandchildren.  The world is a sadder place without his presence.
