Tanner James Mackey, 29, of Chambersburg, passed away December 28, 2023.

Born October 25, 1994, in Chambersburg, he was the son of Chastity R. Mackey of Chambersburg and the late John David Parmer II.

Tanner graduated from Chambersburg Area Senior High School in 2013 and through Vo-tech became a certified welder. He was also a talented tattoo artist.  He was remembered by his family as a young man who loved people and was kind and helpful to anyone.  He also loved cars and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving with his mother, Chastity, is a brother, Cameron Stine and stepfather, Eddie Stine, both of Waynesboro, his maternal grandmother, Pam Mackey of Chambersburg and his uncle Shane Mackey and wife, Jennifer, of Upper Strasburg.  Also surviving are his paternal grandmother, Vicky Parmer of Chambersburg, his uncles, Tim E. Parmer and Mike Parmer and an aunt, Mandy Mellot, all of Chambersburg, and a number of cousins.

In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John D. Parmer.
