Tanner James McCurdy, 27, of Fannettsburg, went home to be with the Lord on April 28, 2021 in Hershey Medical Center. Tanner courageously endured a year long battle with hepatosplenic T-cell lymphoma, receiving stem cell transplant with stem cells donated by his father. His family will be forever grateful for the loving and generous support received from friends, relatives and our community. They would also like to thank all hospital staff for their exceptional care and kindness during Tanner's hospitalizations.

Born August 23, 1993 in Chambersburg, he was the son of James A. and Kimberly (Agett) McCurdy, of Fannettsburg. Tanner graduated from Fannett-Metal High School in 2012 and completed 2 years of Engineering studies at Hagerstown Community College.

He was a skilled carpenter and a dedicated and beloved employee of Boggs Construction, LLC.

Tanner was a member of the Lower Path Valley Presbyterian Church, Fannettsburg.

Surviving with his parents, is a brother, Chase McCurdy and his wife, Tasha, of Willow Hill; aunts, Sue Baxter of Carlisle, Liz Jones and her husband, Joe, of Shippensburg and Dena Rosenberry and her husband, David, of Fort Loudon and his paternal grandmother, Peggy J. McCurdy of Fannettsburg. Additional survivors include cousins, Megan Byers, Jonathan Byers and his wife, Diana, all of Carlisle, Ryan Jones and his wife, Amy, of Elysburg, Aaron Jones and girlfriend, Sheena, of Shippensburg and second cousins, Lainey Jones, Emma Jones, Mackenzie Byers and Sean Byers.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Donald M. McCurdy on April 3 and maternal grandparents, John L. and Winifred "Winnie" Agett.

The family will receive friends May 15 ^th between 9 and 11 AM in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11 AM.
