Thelma C. Reeder, 83, a lifelong resident of Dry Run, passed away December 12, 2024, in Shippensburg Rehabilitation and Health Center. On December 3, 1960, she married her husband, Darwin B. Reeder, who died February 24, 1977.   She was also preceded in death by her son, Terry Lee Reeder on February 26, 2023.

Born July 15, 1941, in Dry Run, she was a daughter of the late Thomas M. and Hazel M. (Reed) Collins.   She graduated from school in 1959 and enjoyed being in the school band where she played the flute.

Thelma was previously employed as a caretaker at the American Legion Post 232 and was a member of the Secret Sisters.  She was of the Methodist faith and loved dogs.

Surviving is a sister, Rosalie Yocum of Orbisonia and nephews, Timothy Zeigler and his wife, Donna of Dry Run and David M. Zeigler and his wife, Patricia, of Waynesboro, grandnephews and nieces, Andy Zeigler (Rhonda), Adam Zeigler, Nova and Renee, great grandnephews and nieces, Logan, Lindsay, Aden, Atlee and Ava.  Also surviving is her dear friend and former companion, Butch Best, of Honey Grove.

Viewing Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024, after 1 PM followed by the funeral service at 2 PM in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, with Pastor John Semple, officiating.  Interment Mt. Zion Cemetery, Blairs Mills.   www.agettlakjer.com
