Thomas Williams "Tommy" Keefer, 47, of Mercersburg, died July 2, 2023.

Tommy was born Dec. 15, 1975 in McConnellsburg, a son of Carolyn M. (Hill) Jackie Taylor of Fort Loudon and the late Hank W. Keefer.  He graduated in 1995 from James Buchanan High School, Mercersburg, and worked for his late grandparents, Jack and Florence Hill, at Hill's Shoe Service for 10 years until taking employment at Grove Manufacturing and also worked at most metal shops in Mercersburg.  More recently he was self-employed as a handy man.

A model train enthusiast, Tom created many train layouts over the years. He also loved his "kitties" and tried to feed some of the Feral cats in town.

Surviving with his mother are aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to his father and maternal grandparents he was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ellsworth Keefer and Myrtle Wible.

A Celebration of Life Picnic for family and friends will be held at the Lions Club Park, Upper Pavilion, Mercersburg, on July 15, 2023 at 2 PM.  Pictures are welcome to share and covered dishes appreciated.    www.agettlakjer.com
