Virginia H. Yocum, age 88, of Fannettsburg, passed away June 6, 2022, in ProMedica Senior Care, Chambersburg.

Born Sept. 12, 1933, in Dry Run, she was a daughter of the late Lester, Sr.  and Nettie (Doyle) Hammond.  She was formerly of Dry Run, where she graduated from high school and later lived in Spring Run.

She was a former Clerk of Courts in Franklin County, until retiring.

Virginia had been a member of the former Path Valley Lioness Club and particularly enjoyed being active in the poinsettia sales.  She also received much pleasure from spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Joyce Barnes and her husband, James of Upton, Mary Lou Prisk and Thomas Schriever of Lewiston, NY and Mark D. Yocum and his wife, Mary Ann of Spring Run; 6 grandchildren;  9 great-grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and 1 sister, Brenda Fleming, of Chambersburg.  Also surviving is her devoted friend, Leonard Weyant, of Fannettsburg.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard, Claire, Warren and Lester Hammond, Jr. and a sister, Karolyn Lawrence.

Her viewing will be Friday evening, June 10, between 6 and 8 and Saturday morning after 10 AM followed by the funeral service at 11 AM in Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, with Pastor Darwin Goshorn officiating.  Interment Path Valley Cemetery.  Donations in her memory may be made to Aprontree Personal Care, 18015 Path Valley Road, Spring, PA 17262.      www.agettlakjer.com
