William E. "Ed" Jones, 63, of St. Thomas, formerly of Fort Loudon, went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2022, in UPMC Community Hospital, Harrisburg.

Born November 20, 1958, in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late William E. Sr. and Anna Mae (Miley) Jones. He attended Fannett-Metal High School.

Ed was an avid outdoorsman.  He loved working in the mountains in the lumber industry, cutting trees and running machinery.  Before that, he worked in masonry.

He was a member of the American Legion Wesley Yeager Post 606, Fort Loudon.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing searching for mushrooms, wrestling, and most of all, spending time with his beloved grandchildren, Hank and Rebecca.

Surviving is a daughter, Billie Jo Jones, of Dry Run and sons, Brooks Jones and his wife, Jessica, of Concord and Travis Welsh of McConnellsburg, a grandson, Hank Stoner and a granddaughter, Rebecca Welsh.  Also surviving is a brother, Andrew L. Jones and his wife, Peggy, of Fannettsburg and 2 sisters, Florence A. O'Donnell and her husband, Duane "Ike" of Fannettsburg and Darlene Reilly and her husband, Tom, of Shippensburg.  Additional survivors include 2 nephews,  Matthew Jones and Brian O'Donnell, a niece, Amanda Jones, a great nephew, a great niece and aunt, Sonja Jones of Fort Loudon.

A memorial service will be Sat., May 7, 2022, at 5 PM in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run with Pastor Ryan Henderson officiating.  www.agettlakjer.com
